    The Power of A, C, E + B5

When we think of vitamins and minerals, we mostly think of gut health, muscle and nerve function as well as our overall immunity. But we forget that the skin is the largest organ of the body and how much of what we consume actually affects it! Consuming, as well as applying elements topically, supports the skin from all angles.

All vitamins and minerals are beneficial in some way and each can support and/or stimulate others into working efficiently and effectively. But today, we’re gonna talk a little about four vitamins that we can consume and apply topically.

We have the ultimate vitamin team effort to rejuvenate your skin!

We offer a Vitamin Mask with these four essential vitamins (A, C, E & B5) that will restore the skin back to life.

Vit. A – The only molecule that can actually assist in reprogramming cells, resulting in healthier looking and more radiant skin. It normalises the oil balance within your skin and speeds up healing, prevents breakouts and supports the skin’s immune system.

Vit. C – Because of its antioxidant properties, vitamin C aids in your skin’s natural regeneration process, which helps your body repair damaged skin cells. Applied topically, the skin is triggered to heal itself by accelerating the production of collagen and elastin!

Vit. E – High in antioxidants and it affects blood circulation which helps firmness and structure of skin cells, helping to prevent wrinkles! It also helps reduce the prominence of acne scars.

Vit. B5 – Helps to promote faster healing of skin wounds and is most effective when combined with vitamin C. Additionally, it can help to minimise acne by helping the body to break down oils in the form of triglycerides and cholesterol.

We usually apply an algae mask over the top of the vitamin mask to allow the vitamins to be absorbed more efficiently and reduce inflammation and redness with the spirulina platensis extract.

    LED Light Therapy

If you had asked us 100 years ago, as a human collective, “Do you think hovering different coloured lights over our skin could heal our skin?”, do you think people would think we’re crazy?

What we find miraculously crazy is that different coloured LED lights actually stimulate and penetrate the skin differently! And the results prove that it helps with wound healing and acne, as well as reducing fine lines!

But first…what is LED light therapy?

LED (light-emitting diode) light therapy is a non-invasive treatment that penetrates the skin’s layers to improve the skin. Interestingly, NASA were finding ways to promote wound healing in astronauts and one of the studies included using LEDs back in the 1990’s. They found the LED’s effects helped cells and tissues grow!

What does LED light therapy do?

LED light therapy helps treat a variety of skin concerns and conditions, including:

    • Eczema
    • Hair loss
    • Mild to moderate acne
    • Psoriasis
    • Rough, scaly, precancerous spots on the skin (actinic keratosis)
    • Rosacea
    • Sun damage
    • Wounds
    • Wrinkles

Are there different kinds of LED light therapy?

LED light therapy uses various wavelengths that correspond to different visible colors. Each colour penetrates the skin at different depths and therefore, stimulates different responses within the skin.

    • 💙 Blue Light – Affects the uppermost layer of the skin and works to clear congestion and destroys acne causing bacteria.
    • 💚 Green Light – Assists with skin tone correction and aids detoxication to reduce redness and irritation.
    • 💛 Yellow Light – Penetrates a little deeper and stimulates collagen production and assists wound repair to naturally heal and regenerate skin from within.
    • ❤️ Red Light – Travels further into the skin, reducing inflammation, continues to stimulate collagen production, increases blood circulation and lymphatic flow to encourage cellular renewal.
    • 🖤 Near-Infrared Light – This one penetrates the deepest and increases white blood cell production to regenerate, rejuvenate, tighten and repair inflamed and ageing skin.

How long does it take for LED light therapy to work?

Significant benefits depend entirely on your skin condition. Typically, most need to have a series of in-clinic treatments weekly for about a month. Then you might need maintenance treatments every month or every few months. The in-clinic devices are more powerful than at-home devices and are far more effective.

Can anyone receive LED light therapy?

LED light therapy isn’t appropriate for everyone, including people who:

    • Take certain medications that increase their sensitivity to sunlight, such as isotretinoin and lithium.
    • Have a history of certain conditions, including skin cancer and inherited eye diseases.

What is the recovery time after LED light therapy?

There isn’t a recovery time for LED light therapy. Besides being careful about sun exposure in the 48 hours after treatment, you can return to your normal routine. Unlike other skin treatments, such as a chemical peel, there isn’t any damage to the skin.

    Mature Masculinity

One reason why we chose to open up our men’s clinic was to cater for men that prefer a more masculine space. We wanted to build an atmosphere that resonates with our inner masculinity, and there is nothing wrong with that.

There are social groups and movements out there promoting women to embrace their inner femininity, and the more power to them! We applaud them for exploring and being curious with their feminine woman energy. But there are a minority of groups shaming men for expressing their masculinity and encouraging men to be more feminine…to make them (the women) feel more comfortable and safe.

But true masculinity is not a threat to the powers of the feminine. We encourage you, men, to embrace the power of masculinity! Don’t allow “political correctness” to distract you or guilt trip you to strip your masculinity from your spirit!

Of course, having the wrong mindset, attitude and understanding of both masculinity and femininity can be destructive and damaging. Neither are out to compete each other, but to always harmonize together, to work together, to improving each other.

Just like the yin yang symbol, we have both masculinity and femininity energies. But both must co-exist in harmony within us. How do you know when someone is out of sync? When they use their energy to dominate, overpower, manipulate, control and shame others.

Some behavioural points to know what mature masculinity looks like.

    • Being bold and strong in one’s beliefs and opinions, but is also open and respectable to others being bold and strong in their own beliefs and opinions.
    • Does not fall victim to the shame of being perceived as weak in their vulnerability. Even through their tears, you can feel the strength of their conviction and the sacrifices they had to make to be a man of integrity.
    • They provide not just financially or physical safety, but emotional safety. They hold a safe space for their loved ones to express their moments of joy and moments of frustration without feeling a sense of abandonment, rejection or judgement.
    • He serves by investing into others to help them grow, develop and mature in their own masculinity and femininity.

    Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin)

Sometimes we take for granted the elements that help keep our bodies functioning efficiently. How we stay alert and aware of our surroundings, how we process food to produce muscle and tendons and strong bones! It’s hard to comprehend sometimes how they all can simultaneously work…but our minds can only pay attention to one thing at a time.

Vitamin B12 is one of those elements that strengthens our nervous system and matures our red blood cells to work efficiently within the whole body!

It’s best to first get a blood test and seek health advice from your doctor and/or dietitian before supplementing vitamins and minerals.

We offer IV Infusions and IM Injections if your doctor advises it to be beneficial for yourself.

    What is Cobalamin (B12)?

Vitamin B12, as it is mostly referred to, is a critical molecule for our overall health.

B12 is a cofactor in DNA synthesis in both fatty acid and amino acid metabolism, it plays an important role in the normal functioning of the nervous system via its role in the synthesis of myelin, and plays a significant role in maturation of red blood cells in the bone marrow.

Just reading this give you a sense of what could happen if you are not sufficient in B12.

    Symptoms of Low B12

At levels only slightly lower than normal, a range of symptoms such as feeling tired and weak, feeling like you may faint, difficulty walking (staggering balance problems), depression, poor memory, poor reflexes, confusion, breathlessness, headaches, and pale skin, feeling abnormal sensations, weakened immunity, reduced fertility and interruption of blood circulation in women may occur.

These can be just the warning signs before leading to more serious issues such as anaemia (decreased number of red blood cells, haemoglobin in the blood, or lowered ability to carry oxygen by the blood).

    Consuming B12

You can obtain Vitamin B12 by consuming these foods: clams, mussels, crab, salmon, beef, chicken, eggs (whole), and milk.

If you are vegetarian, vegan, or can’t get enough of the foods listed above, you can refer to supplements.

We offer Intravenous Infusions as well as Intramuscular Injections to receive a quick, effective, and a sufficient dose for the body.
